The Mater Dei Super Mileage Team (MDSMT) is a group of students that design and build a car with the goal of ultimate gas efficiency in mind. The team competes in multiple contests, both locally and nationally. MDSMT is an extra-curricular activity. Mater Dei High School does not offer a shop class, meaning all work on the cars are done outside of school. This project gives students a chance for hands on learning in engineering and shop techniques that the normal high school experience does not allow.
 Update for the 2007-2008 Year Members:
To the team members: We will meet every Sunday at the Ritter's barn unless notified otherwise. Due to time running out we will also be meeting tuesday's and thursday's at 6:00 unless notified otherwise. Call Justin or Bob with questions. Please show up to meetings because your presence will determine who travels to competitions.
